2014 Trashion Show!

It’s spring and the snow is melting. Dog toys might be re-emerging in your yard. Perhaps you’re in the mood to purge so will probably plunge into your children’s room, your closet or shed, and create a large pile to haul off to the senior center. You might even gather enough stuff for a yard sale.

Wait!!

Confluence Gallery and Art Center is holding its 4th annual Trashion Show on Saturday, May 10th, 7-10pm (doors open at 6pm) at the Twisp Community Center.

Instead of holding a yard sale, why not design fashion out of trash, enter your outfit into the Trashion show for the chance to win a prize? With your $20 Designer ($10 student) fee you could win:
Grande Prize $150
Youth Award $50
Over (age) 55 Award $50
People's Choice Award $50

Do you have a closet lined with old ties? Is your shed filled with copper wire, bicycle tubes, chicken wire, or snow fencing? Maybe you have collections of corks, bottle caps, old CDs, tin cans, magazines, toilet paper rolls, or gum wrappers. You name it – your junk can be up-cycled into a wearable, even functional, outfit. This is your chance to create an entirely unique piece of art and watch as it makes its way down the runway, strutting to the tunes of DJ Noah Ashford, hundreds of spectators applauding your design!

Contact Confluence Gallery if you’re interested in being a designer – the deadline is May 1!

Ticket prices for the event are $15 per person (ages 13+). Limited VIP seating is available for $35 which includes a table seat by the judges and a free drink of your choice.

This event is brought to you by Confluence Gallery & Art Center, sponsored by Blue Star Coffee Roasters, WasteWise, and Methow Recycles. Also supporting the event are Twisp River Suites, Freestone Inn and Peligro.
