Build a Photo Box Tutorial

Saturday December 14, 2013
10am - 11:30
@ The Confluence Gallery & Art Center
Cost: $20

In this age of nearly-instant virtual portfolios and online galleries, it's more important than ever to be able to take professional-looking photos of your work quickly and easily.

In this workshop, Joanne Marracci of Marracci Designs Jewelry and Nicole Ringgold of The Confluence Gallery and Live In Art Jewelry will show you how to build a simple but effective "photo booth" to photograph your small to medium sized works. Using materials you probably already have waiting to go to the recycle center, you will learn how and why to build a light box, lighting tips, photo do's & don'ts and the importance of having a photo set up in your art space ready to take pics at the drop of a hat. This tutorial is for more than just jewelers; it's for anyone needing to take good quality consistent photos of artwork or any other small to medium sized items.

Optional: Bring your digital camera, a small item to photograph and a tripod if you have one.
